Mud Dream
Kambara Nagi x Tara Yoshifumi x Murata Yudai This work was produced as a team, with the aim of reconstructing the Jomon values of coexistence with nature and collaboration in the modern era with the aim of creating a neo-Jomon style.
Mud and earth are symbols of purification and rebirth in many myths around the world. In the Jomon period in Japan, earthenware and clay figurines were tools that supported daily life, and at the same time, they were important tools for expressing one's spirituality.
This piece is gradually weathered, and I created it with the hope that viewers would be able to see the cycle of nature and its interrelationships while searching for a shape that would not collapse in a typhoon. Even in the Jomon period, there was a primitive strength of life that overcame adversity, such as major natural disasters such as the Jomon Sea Level Rise. I aim to humorously reinterpret the seemingly negative idiom "Too many cooks spoil the broth, all goes back in time" and depict a mysterious scene of climbing a mountain instead of the sea.
