A tape that expresses the sender's delicate hospitality, extending thoughtful consideration to the recipient even in the smallest details of packaging. Utilizing the functionality of a special security tape that leaves visible signs of opening, it appears at first glance to be just a red tape. However, when the tape is peeled off, a traditional Japanese pattern emerges. The unexpected appearance of the Japanese pattern in this subtle place creates a small moment of surprise and delight within the act of peeling the tape, offering a fleeting pause to appreciate its beauty.
This work received the Jury Prize / Special Jury Prize (Yugo Nakamura Award) at the 15th Shachihata New Product Design Competition.
